Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) Approval

We have experience working closely with DEWA on a number of projects where we’ve had to add, move or reinstate either water or electrical supply. As a result, our teams are well-acquainted with DEWA’s fit-out division and have successfully received NOCs for shops, F&Bs, and offices. As a policy, only DEWA-approved contractors are allowed to apply for NOCs. DEWA also requires both electrical and civil engineers to be under the company’s license. At Neutron Group, we are well versed with the requirements and process and provide a full turnkey solution when it comes to all DEWA and Dubai Municipality projects, and take complete responsibility for all applications.

Requirements to be a DEWA Certified Contractor

Pre-Qualification certificates from Dubai Municipality (showing approved contractor).

Trade license issued by the Department of Economic Development (DED).

University degree (Bachelor of Civil/Electrical Engineering).

Experience certificate (minimum of three years) attested by UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (if not issued in the UAE).

UAE Society of Engineers membership.

DEWA Approval Process

All applications are submitted through DEWA’s online portal.

Our team will help you compile and upload all the required documents and a full set of MEP drawings.

Once submitted, the status of the application can be tracked online and notified through SMS and emails. It takes up to seven working days to receive a NOC from DEWA.

Once DEWA approves the technical drawings, we then submit an application for a technical field inspection.

Subject to approval, DEWA will then arrange installation meters and release the power connection, once the security deposit has been paid, which you can directly do through DEWA’s online portal.
